Office 2013 Customer Preview Released

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has just announced the release of the Customer Preview of next version of Office. I have just downloaded and installed it on my system and would like to share my first opinions on it.
As we already expected, the User Interface of the new Office is metro base which can be easily used with touch, stylus, keyboard and mouse. This version of office is available for ARM based Windows 8 Devices and Surface too apart from Desktop versions.
Office Preview can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/en/try-office-preview.
More details about the features are available at – http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/en
Here is a snapshot of the installation screen –

One of the cool thing that I have noticed while installation is Background Installation. While the installation is going, we can minimize to tray and work with other applications.

Here are the new logos of Office applications.

Want to try and write about my favorite features of each office application. But due to bandwidth constraints, the installation is still going on. Will write about them in next posts. For time being, you can go through the main features from following links.
